NATURAL BRIDGE CAVERNS LISTED AS ONE OF 10 GREAT PLACES BY USA TODAY SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS
Natural Bridge Caverns has been named one of America's"10 great places to get nature on film"in a recent article in USA Today. As the only Texas location selected, Natural Bridge Caverns was listed along with Yellowstone National Park (Wyoming), the Adirondack Mountains (New York), Muir Woods National Monument (California) and Rocky Mountain National Park (Colorado).
The article, which gave brief descriptions of each location, said Natural Bridge Caverns "offer great subterranean landscape photographic possibilities with dramatic lighting and sciencefiction effects already in place."
Natural Bridge Caverns' telephone number (2106516101) and website address (www.naturalbridgecaverns.com) also were listed in the article. Brad Wuest, president of Natural Bridge Caverns, said they are honored to be listed among such elite national parks and natural areas.
"The Caverns are truly a national treasure and we're very proud to be included on USA Today's list," he said. "We sincerely appreciate how special the Caverns are to not only San Antonio and the state of Texas, but also the nation."
Other top "nature spots" listed in the article were Garden of the Gods (Shawnee National Forest, Illinois), Block Island Greenway (Rhode Island), Everglades National Park (Florida), the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area and Glacier National Park (Montana).

As an example of the Caverns' "photographic possibilities," a local couple recently had a wedding photo taken inside.
Natural Bridge Caverns is the largest cavern in Texas and attracts more than 250,000 visitors a year. It is located 13 miles north of San Antonio on Natural Bridge Caverns Road (FM 3009) eight miles west of IH35.
