There’s no question if you are planning on visiting Natural Bridge Caverns your focus is probably on what’s underground. However, there’s plenty of fun to be had on the surface too! We’ve divided up things to do above ground into our three favorite categories. Thrills, Chills, and FOOD. 

Thrills

You’ve got your choice of thrills above ground, starting with Twisted Trails. The largest zip rail and ropes course of its kind when it was built, this is actually a six-story tall complex, with five levels worth of thrills involving climbing, zipping, and balance challenges. Don’t presume this is just for big kids and adults either. Our Tiny Tykes course means even littles can find something to enjoy and challenge themselves. The best thing about Twisted Trails is you can decide how thrilling you want it to be. You can stay on the lower levels where the obstacles are simple or you can keep going up and up to more challenging balance courses. You are in a full body harness, so you are safe and secure. 

If you prefer your thrills closer to the ground, our AMAZEn’ Ranch Round up is perfect. Run through the cattle pen themed maze and try to find our lost C-A-L-F in the fastest time possible. Insider tip: buy your ticket for the maze at the same time you buy your cavern ticket and you’ll save money!

Chills

Our most popular and relaxing activity above ground is the Sluice, AKA the Texas Mining Company! You buy a bag of mining rough and head over to the trays to discover the gems, arrowheads, shark teeth, and more! This activity is perfect for a group – but look out. Everyone will want their very own bag before you’re done.

Corn hole pro? Giant jenga medalist? Checkers or chess champion? Get outta here, we play just for fun! Our family and friends lawn games are free every day and the perfect way to have a good time while you’re out and about in our Discover Village area. 

FOOD

We’ve seriously levelled up our food game! Brisket smoked daily. Philly cheesesteak. Great pizza (with a gluten free crust option). Brisket nachos. Also important to know: if you’re considering having an event here, we offer an extensive on-site catering menu. Come hungry and try some of our incredible food items here at the park
